How many points does a sheriff badge have?
Sheriff badges are most commonly five or six point stars, with seven point stars used by a number of county offices and some offices using a shield instead. Hero’s Pride produces five, six, seven and eight point stars as well as shields, ovals and circles, so a badge can be built to match whatever point count your jurisdiction uses.
Can I have my rank and badge number engraved?
Yes. Rank, department line, name and badge number are all set during the design stage. Numbers can be engraved individually across a multi-badge order.
Do you make deputy and special deputy badges?
Yes. Deputy sheriff, special deputy, reserve and auxiliary deputy, detective, sergeant and above, and undersheriff are all standard configurations.
Can you match our existing badge or department seal?
Yes. Hero’s Pride can produce or reproduce any county, state, city or agency seal on a custom sheriff badge, and can reproduce an existing badge design from a photograph or from original artwork. Hero’s Pride confirms the order is placed by or for the agency before reproducing an agency seal.
What finishes are available?
Gold tone, nickel or silver tone, and antique, with hard enamel colour for the lettering and seal. Two tone combinations are available on most shapes.
How do I order custom sheriff badges?
Request a quote with your shape, wording and seal, or a picture of your current badge. We send a quote and a proof, you approve it, and we manufacture. We confirm the order is placed by or for the agency before production begins.
How do I purchase Hero's Pride products?
Custom badges are quoted directly through this page. Stock products are sold through our authorised dealers and through our online store, and our team can point you to the nearest dealer if you would rather order that way.
Can I reorder a custom item?
Yes. We keep your approved artwork on file, so a reissue or an additional badge for a new deputy can be produced from the design we already hold. Reference your original order when you request a quote.
Returns and replacements
Custom badges are made to your specification and approved by you on proof before manufacturing, so they are not returnable as stock items are. If a badge arrives with a manufacturing fault or does not match the approved proof, contact us and we will replace it.
